Sony has not forgotten about Mylo users, and has just released an update to for it's mylo 2. It adds support for video recording, provides a new menu for "easier photo and video uploading," adds a function for formatting Memory Stick Duo media, adds support for 16GB MD Duo cards and improves Flash playback of YouTube videos. The upgrade also adds support for WMV files and the SHOUTcast widget while improving "system stability." The download is slightly hefty at just under 60MB, and is available here.

Hi there again. I'd just like to say first of all, no I am not dead. That is just what happens in the world of mylo.

Anyway, Sony recently released new firmware for the mylo Two. The update adds WMV file support, SHOUTcast widget support "Game" item on the HOME menu for easier access to all those games you downloaded to the COM-2 unit, and, of course, improved "system stability".

Yes, it is looking good for Mylo Two owners. The mylolabs.com website has opened the forums and support page, as well as allowing new widgets to be added. Newest widgets include Pac-Man and a better featured calculator.

Headphone Adapter

Found this over on myloforums.com, it's a cool little simple headphone adapter available in white or black naturally. Official Sony merchandise (which is always nice) and it clears that wire clutter somewhat. Mylo One and Two compatible. Can't find it on the official Sony site so check the link above, $21 delivered!

Mylo SDK Is Here!

Yes, after a short delay, Sony has finally launched the software development kit for the Mylo Two.

This will be used to make widgets, and Sony has already provided some cool little widgets to get the ball rolling. So far a Calculator, Calendar, To-Do List, World Clock and Picture Puzzle are available. Pretty cool in general, here is the link. mylolabs.com.

Pocket Spelling Bee Looks Quite Familiar

I just happened to find this little educational device that was unveiled at the NYC Toy Fair just the other day. I may be alone here (yeah right), but it does strike a really obvious resemblence to the Mylo One. Hmm...think Sony knows about this one? We will have to wait and see.

Quite a good in depth review I found today on pcmag.com, the link is here.

I found that their gripes in general are the same money can buy you, as they class, "superior alternatives", and that the web browser keeps running low on RAM. For the first gripe, they are comparing the device to the wrong things, but in regards to the second problem I can sympathise, similar problems are occuring with members of myloforums.net.

The video review is decent too, check it out my friends.

Starbucks and T-Mobile Split, But It's OK

Confusion within the mylo world today, Starbucks is ditching T-Mobile as Wi-Fi provider in favour of AT&T. This could have potentially spelled disaster for many mylo One users, but after some digging around we found that existing T-Mobile customers can still access their accounts on the new AT&T systems. From Starbucks press,

"In recognition of the many T-Mobile customers who enjoy visiting Starbucks, the Company is also announcing that T-Mobile HotSpot customers will be able to continue to access Wi-Fi services at no additional cost, through an agreement between AT&T and T-Mobile"

As of today the Mylo News blog and myloforums.net discussion board will be in partnership for a period of two weeks. If all goes well then the Mylo News blog will permanantly become the official blog of the forums.

Having a nosey around on the Sony Mylo area of sonystyle.com brought this to my attention, a charging cradle for the Mylo Two exclusively. Looks like a pretty cool little accessory, whether it is worth the $29.99 asking price is another story. Ships tommorrow according to Sony.

Today my friends I made my first post on the myloforums.net website, and I would advise anyone who is interested in the Mylo to join this helpful resource.

I am known as Vaio on the forums, and so if you see me around feel free to private message me or whatnot.

For anyone who is interested, I made a basic GIF advertisement for the blog, found below. Initially this was to be in my signature for my Vaio user on myloforums, but regretably I did not see that image linking in the signature is forbidden.

Hello and welcome to this, a blog dedicated to the Sony Mylo. A device so brilliant I just had to start an entire log on it.

OK, so there is one or two blogs out there already and I am a teeny weeny bit late, but still, better late than never. I intend to keep visitors up to date with any goings on within the Mylo world, so please bookmark this page and stick around.

As for this little birth post, I end it with high hopes that this place becomes a must have blog for Mylo users.
